How can I safely remove something from my windshield?
My sister just bought a car and there is some kind of plastic circle stuck to the middle of the inside of the windshield. We have no idea what it is but we think it may have been a mount for a compass or a GPS unit of some kind. We tried just pulling on it with our hands and it seems like it's pretty firmly attached. We are worried that anything we do will break the windshield. Is there some secret to removing this kind of thing?
I've been told dental floss will do it. Get a decent length, and put between plastic and glass, then use a back and forth motion.
