does a motor mount case a car not to stay started?

I have a 2001 sabb 9-5. I start the car and it shuts right off. the shop is looking for a motor mount but i don't see why what does that have to do with the car not staying on?
I did a reading my self and it read miss fire and also gave a dealer code i called the dealer and they said it could be a broken cylinder or a something cassette. The problem I have is it does start but does not stay started it would shut right off.

a motor mount would not cause the car to not stay running, there is another problem.
