Top Five Holiday Gifts for Men
It happens every year, ladies. We rummage through the stores searching for the perfect gift for that special someone in our lives . . . and fifty percent of the time, we come away empty handed and disappointed.
Men are notoriously difficult to buy for and many times that’s because we women just don’t speak their language. What they might see as an awesome gift, we often times pass by because it’s not appealing to us. If this sounds familiar, fret no longer. We have composed our top five favorite holiday gifts for your guy – each has received the “male stamp of approval”.
1. Gears of War 2
For the boyfriend who refuses to grow up, Gears of War 2 is at the top of every gamer’s wish list this year. The newest war game to hit the shelves, it combines strategic thinking with interactive gaming, allowing him to play online with his buddies and do a little smack talking.
2. GPS Navigation System
For the stubborn hubby who would rather ride in circles than stop and ask for directions, the GPS Navigation System will get him to that job interview on time or to that new sports bar across town with time to spare. The Garmin nuvi 350 Portable GPS Navigator is compact and comes bundled with photo viewer, world travel clock and MP3/audiobook player. With the pre-loaded maps of U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico, he will never be lost again.
3. Homedics - Shiatsu Pillow
The perfect gift for the stressed out spouse or friend who works one too many nine to fives - this pillow cradles the neck and kneads away the stress of a long days work. With every benefit of a real massage, you might just find yourself stealing it away when he’s not looking!
4. The Wii
The perfect gaming experience for the young and young at heart, the Wii provides an experience unlike any other. He can have a light saber fight with his youngest son or even exercise right along to the Wii . . . and all without leaving the comfort of the living room. More than just being a game machine, the Wii also provides infotainment – i.e. both information and entertainment suitable for every member of the family.
5. Apple Ipod Touch Screen 16 GB
For the techie guy on your list, the newest Ipod brings along with it all the modern technology we have come to know and expect from Apple. From music and video to photos and everything in between, this Ipod does it all effortlessly. With a capacity for 3,500 songs, 20 hours of video or 10,000 photos, he will never be bored again.

Which GPS should I buy as a newbie to Geocaching?
I am seriously trying to start GEOCACHING as a personal hobby.
Myself being a total NEWBIE to this hobby, I'm researching EVERYTHING I can find about this technology so I will not get left behind the trends. Knowing (hearing from others) that this technology continually advances as such break-neck speed, I'm searching for my very first GPS unit that will stay up to date.
How CURRENT and versatile is a Garmin GPSMAP 62s unit vs. a Geomate Jr. (sold by Apishere Co.)?
I have posted this same request in the geocaching.com weblog, seeking ideas.
Thanks for ideas.
We just upgraded to the Garmin GPSMap 62s and it's incredible. If you can afford it I strongly recommend it. It is extremely versatile. The additional costs come in with the maps. We had a friend download his maps onto ours and I know there are ways of getting free maps on there. For another $100 you can get the maps pre loaded. We also bought a much bigger memory card. We bought on Amazon for about $10. The Garmin has reduced our time to find caches by about 90% because we turn the thing on and it lets us know whenever we are near a cache. If you are not familiar with "trips" on geocaching.com check it out. These are trips that people upload that will get you alot of caches along a predefined destination.
I definitely recommend the Garmin above any other GPS that I'm aware of on the market. The only things it is missing is a video camera and cell phone
