Connecting PS3 Bluetooth Headset to Cellphone?

Hi, I bought the official bluetooth headset for the PS3 and it says you can pair a cellphone with it too in this case my blackberry pearl 8100 I put the headset on and went to setup bluetooth device and click on add new device and everything it searches and says no device found am I doing something wrong?

Make sure the Headset is in pairing mode. Try holding power button until the light (if any?) on it flashes(?) then it should be in pairing mode.
